I am a calligrapher and sculptor that works primarily in natural stone and started off as an apprentice-trained stonemason, this trade gave me the elbow-room to specialise and become a letter carver. This in turn led on to working on sculpture projects in the public realm, as well as memorials and smaller works for gardens and homes.
The majority of my practice is engaged in larger public sculpture projects but I think it is important, and find it fulfilling, to keep time aside to work on private commissions and memorial work.
