Kate Jacob
Kate Jacob’s painting sits between the concrete and unknown. A abstract space that weaves between the need to control and the desire to let go, where language is colour, shape, pattern, light and dark. They are somewhere familiar and close but also unplaceable and far away; the
known, imagined and unexplainable. She regularly exhibits across the UK and has been featured by The Guardian and The Yorkshire Post. Recent shows include a solo show at Mura Ma Gallery and Manchester Contemporary Art Fair; She’s also shown at the Graves Art Gallery, Sheffield. Awards include Arts Council Research and Development funds, and she was long listed for the 2024 Beep Painting Prize.
