Bel Holland

Bel produces handmade ceramic objects thrown on a potter’s wheel. She studied Fine Art in London and Manchester and specialised in painting and sculpture. It wasn’t until after this that she found a love of working with clay and taught herself to throw on a potter’s wheel. Living and working in the Peak District National Park provides a constant pool of inspiration. From the elegant stately homes of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, to the rolling hills and rocky landscapes of the Derbyshire Dales and Dark Peak moorland. These landscapes are captured simply in the use of texture and colour applied to the ceramic form.
