Josephine makes beautifully hand-crafted jewellery and botanical sculptures inspired by British wildflowers and nature’s treasures. Exploring notions of transience and impermanence, her creations are delicate, evocative and ethereal, aiming to capture fleeting moments through the seasons, immortalised in silver and gold as everlasting future heirloom pieces, which celebrate the exquisite beauty and wonder of the natural world. Josephine is interested in seventeenth century botanical illustrations and antique embossed, gilded book covers. Inspired by stylised compositions and the linear quality of botanical illustrations, she has developed her own signature illustrative style, interpreting her botanical drawings into precious metal.
