Hanne Westergaard
Hanne Westergaard specializes in creating ceramic works comprising sculptural pieces and decorative bowls, predominantly crafted from porcelain and stoneware. Her process involves creating plaster molds for the pieces and slipcasting them in these molds. Hanne employs metal oxides in her glazes and for painting directly on the greenware, after which the pieces are fired in her gas kiln.
She received her art education in Copenhagen, attending the Kunsthaandvaerkerskolen, now known as the School of Design.
